We booked a one week tour with Thaba Tours through Lesotho. We are quite adventurous travellers but wanted to have an expert driving and guiding us. Ray took us to all the important sites including the splendid Sani Pass. Ray booked us in clean, comfortable lodges and was an expert driver.
Very rewarding experience with a very competent, professional guide at a very reasonable price.

Only way to see Lesotho Ray, the owner of Thaba Tours guided us from Katse Dam to Semonkong Lodge to Malealea Lodge over three days and three nights. He was immensely helpful and essential to our trip. He knew a great local spot to stop for food when we passed through a town at lunchtime one day, and was a phenomenal driver on roads I wouldn't dare take on myself. He clearly has nurtured relationships with lodge owners and their respect and care for Ray and his clients is evident. At first I thought I was spending too much money to go with Ray, but within a few hours knew I had made the right decision. Lesotho is not the easiest place to travel, and Ray took all of the difficulties on and made them non-existent for us. He's been working in the area for over 15 years, and it shows. Fantastic Sani Pass Trip! We organized a day-trip up Sani Pass with Thaba Tours and couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of their services. We were picked up promptly from Underberg and driven up the pass in a very good car by a kind and knowledgeable driver who stopped frequently to allow us to take photos. At the top, we had loads of time to check out the scenery, do a few short walks, and have lunch at the Sani Top Lodge.
The owner, Ray Watt, goes out of his way to make you comfortable. He was incredibly prompt in responding to emails prior to our trip and followed up with us to make sure that all went well. Then, he was of incredible assistance in getting a wire transfer reversed to me, after I had sent the advance for the trip to the incorrect bank account. Without his intervention, I am sure I would have lost a solid chunk of change!

Awesome Sani Pass Tour We had a lovely tour with Thaba Tours, very reasonable and got so much out of this experience. We visited a village in Lesotho and also tried local bread that was freshly made, our tour guide Roger was fantastic, he took us to the Famous Sani Top Chalet and also to the Stone Valley Lodge, he provided us with area information and he is very pleasant.
